I have found that most of the time there are parents within my neighborhood even if I do not know them that have kids signed up for the same activities as mine. I usually as the coordinator if there are any other kids from my area and ask them to point out the parents - I them introduce myself and propose we carpool. Usually it works out that they drive the kids there and I pick up making it a win win for all - and even making new friends along the way!!
